Valentine’s Day (2010)

Apparently, if you want to go see a film in February of 2010 and you’re looking for a particular star, Valentine’s Day – which opens February 12, 2010 – is probably your best bet, since it’s got what seems to be the biggest star-studded cast of the year.

Alba, Biel, Roberts, (Bradley) Cooper, Foxx, MacLaine, Kutcher, Hathaway, McDreamy, Lopez, Queen Latifah – need I go on? With such a huge gathering of stars, this one may have hopes to bridge the sex gap, and actually entice both guys and gals to see it.

Since it is about Valentine’s Day, guys are probably going to get sucked into going either way, so hopefully such a well-known cast will at least keep the acting up to par. The storyline on the other hand..

Is it it just me, or is the “10 people meet and break-up on Valentine’s Day’ shtick sound like Love Actually (2003), just moved from Christmas to Valentine’s Day? Hopefully, this February version of that film (which also featured quite the star-studded cast) will be able to keep the good vibes going, and give moviegoers a treat this year for Valentine’s Day.

Since I actually liked Love Actually (2003), I’m hoping the rest of Valentine’s Day is almost as similar as the synopsis and delivers solid entertainment for both gals AND guys – otherwise, there are going to be a lot of unhappy guys come February (and I’m probably going to be one of them).
