While August is looking a bit thin (apart from G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra (2009)), September is shaping up to be quite a month at the movies. With Bruce Willis’ new film, a Dennis Quaid-starring sci-fi horror and the remake of a “fame”-d musical and another Sandra Bullock romantic comedy, September’s looking like it’s going to have something for everyone.

Being a fan of animation myself, so far the upcoming animated 9 is getting most of my attention. With an all-star cast of voices including Jennifer Connelly, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer, this one definitely has the star power to back up it’s voices – and with producers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted (2008)) behind the scenes, there’s probably something to this quirky film.

Will it draw in the audiences like Tim Burton’s upcoming remake, Alice in Wonderland (2010)? Probably not. But, if these folks track records are any indication, chances are the people that do venture to see 9 should be in for something special.
