Once again, the Hollywood Foreign Press hosted an extravaganza of glitz, glamor and celebrities in their yearly Golden Globes Awards Show. While Slumdog Millionaire cleaned up, Kate Winslet took home a pair of awards, Heath Ledger got his expected posthumous award and Mickey Rourke picked up his first award in years, showcasing once again that 2008 was the year of the comeback.
Sure, there was the occassional flub and an unexpected flip of the bird by director Darren Afronsky, but all in all, it was nice to have the Golden Globes Award Show back on the air – especially after the rather boring recital of award winners last year (see Golden Globe Winners 2008 ).
