Golden Globe® Winners 2009
Once again, the Hollywood Foreign Press hosted an extravaganza of glitz, glamor and celebrities in their yearly Golden Globes Awards Show. While Slumdog Millionaire cleaned up, Kate Winslet took home a pair of awards, Heath Ledger got his expected posthumous award and Mickey Rourke picked up his first award in years, showcasing once again that 2008 was the year of the comeback.

Plot: A multi-generational New York City police family’s moral code is tested when Ray (Norton), one of two sons on the force, investigates an incendiary case involving his older brother Frank (Emmerich) and brother-in-law Jimmy (Farrell). The case forces the family to choose between their loyalties to one another and their loyalties to the department.




Miami Vice (2006)
Plot: When a couple of undercover agents are gunned down by white supremacists, Crockett (Farrelll) and Tubbs (Foxx) go deep undercover to try and bring down the drug smuggling operation behind the killings. But, when Crockett falls for the boss’ wife Isabella (Li), they start blurring the edges between reality and their false identites. Based on the characters from the 1980’s TV show of the same name.




S.W.A.T. (2003)
Plot: When a hostage situation goes awry, Street (Farrell) is kicked off the LAPD S.W.A.T. team. Six months lather, Street, along with Deke (LL Cool J), Sanchez (Rodriguez), TJ (Charles) and Boxer (Van Holt) are assigned to a new S.W.A.T. team, headed by veteran Hondo (Jackson). The new team’s first assignment? Transport international terrorist Alex Montel (Martinez). Things start to go wrong immediately, as Montel offers a million dollars to anyone who can free him. Inspired by the 70’s television series.

Just when he decides to “wash out”, Burke taps him for a special assignment to root out a mole – but James has to be careful, because in this world of intrigue, nothing is as it seems…




DareDevil (2003)
Plot: Matt Murdock (Affleck) is a blind lawyer working in Hell’s Kitchen during the day…but at night he becomes the masked vigilante DareDevil, “the man without fear”. Matt is just getting to know the daughter of a wealthy businessman, Electra (Garner), when her father is killed by hit man Bullseye (Farrell) – and DareDevil is blamed. Now, DareDevil has to find who hired Bullseye – before Electra extracts her revenge on him.
